I totally realize I've been gushing like crazy about this palette lately, so this is definitely not going to be one of those review posts where you're waiting for my definitive verdict.
There is no mystery here... We all know I'm sort of obsessed with this one.
But I wanted to accompany my latest tutorial video (a natural Spring look using this palette) with some more in-depth swatches and info on this palette, as promised. In that video I gave a quick little overview at the beginning of the palette, but there is so much more about this palette that makes it unique.
So here we go. First off, the packaging...
Shown above is the box and outside of the palette itself. It's sort of a spongy, soft, fleshy-rose color. Not bad, not great, aesthetically. However, I really like the actual make-up of the palette. The actual way it's made. It's very similar to the way the first Naked palette is made with the large flap and magnetic closure along the front. It's very easy to get in and out of.
As far as the inside, it's gold and gorgeous...
The palette consists of fifteen shades total. Fourteen of those are actual colors, ranging from more natural tones (highlight colors, tans, browns, and light gray-taupes), as well as some more rose-y mauves, a sunny coral, purples, a navy blue, and a jet black. All of these shades are labeled as being "matte", however they are so much more. They aren't a typical flat, chalky matte at all. They are my absolute favorite type of matte... almost with a bit of a satin-y sheen. Just enough to keep them from looking chalky on the lid. They definitely still appear matte on the lids, but they have a more natural finish. They are smooth, buttery, and almost creamy (they are definitely a powder), in that they apply so smoothly. They all blend together like a dream (even the darker shades) to create that glowing and beautiful, blended eye effect. Like I said in my recent video, they basically blend themselves.
What makes this so palette unique (other than the quality) is that larger shade in the lower right corner of the palette. This "transforming pearl" shade is made to layer over the shades to almost create fourteen entirely new pearlescent, shimmery shades.
Here's a better look...
Here's a swatch of all the shades applied straight from the palette, without the transforming pearl shade over them.

taken in natural light (not direct sunlight) |
And here they are with the transforming pearl blended over them...
Pretty right??
So aside from all the great things I've already said, it gets better. The actual formula is anti-aging! It has ingredients that actually make your lids appear younger and smoother. Very unique for a powder eye shadow.
Here's the description from IT Cosmetics:
"Includes Hydrating Age Reverse and Prevent Complex and infused with Peptides, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Silk, Anti-Oxidants and Drops of Light Technology. Paraben-free, fragrance-free, sulfate-free, cruelty free.
...All shades can be used wet or dry as shadows or liners and are designed to make your lids look younger with lid-loving ingredients including Peptides, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Acai, Green Tea, Silk and antioxidants!
These luxe, anti-aging shadows were developed with plastic surgeons to instantly diffuse the look of lines and wrinkles on the eyes and lids."
Pretty cool, huh?
The palette is available at Ulta.com (and in stores as well) for $42.
If you missed my latest video about this, check it out here to see the palette in action! I can't wait to do more looks with this one! Maybe even later this week... ;)
*I've also added ANOTHER tutorial! Check out the latest one here (Brightening Smokey Eye).
So what do you all think? Have you tried this one??

I just happened to be over by the Ulta in town that carries IT cosmetics so of course I had to venture in and see this palette for myself. Everything you love about it is why I now love it too! I broke down and bought it. The lady in the store said it has been flying off the shelves and they only had 2 left after me. Thanks for introducing us all to another great product Tiffany!
ReplyDeleteyay! So glad you got one!! You're going to love it
DeleteHow would you compare this to the Lorac Pro palette? I am just "starting out" with palettes and have the Nude Tude from TheBalm and was looking at Naked or Lorac Pro or this It Cosmetics one. I am a little older so the matte shadows appeal to me!
ReplyDeleteDEFINITELY the IT one. Hands down, the quality is so much better than the Lorac and it's so much more versatile.
DeleteI think this will be the next palette I purchase. I love the colors, and you definitely make it sound like it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a gorgeous palette! My mom sent me a picture of it from a catalog and wanted to know if It Cosmetics was a good brand or not. I've never tried anything from the brand but I always hear amazing things! I want to pick this up sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteJust placed my order. I am definitely an IT girl! I even reviewed Bye, Bye Under Eye on YouTube. youtube.com/dreamer0082
ReplyDeleteSince they don't sell IT cosmetics where I live... my boyfriend now has the lovely task of picking this up for me when he's in the states this summer. Thank you for sharing this GORGEOUS palette & I loved your tutorial yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteIf you're in Canada, this palette is available on The Shopping Channel.com
DeleteCan't wait to go back to the States. This will be the first purchase I make. Too bad they don't sell IT cosmetics where I live. There would be a few products I'd love to try.

Hi Tiffany,
ReplyDeleteI have two IT cosmetic products-and I’ve noticed how great the products look when first applied, but don’t wear well. I haven’t tried the eye shadows, so I gotta ask….Do the shadows still hold up at the end of the day??? Thanks!

I watched the video last night...thought about it....then jogged over to my Ulta in the snow, I just couldn't wait until today! I love the colors - your tutorials are right on (I purchased the new MAC mascara over the weekend an am obsessed with the Hourglass blushes as well). Thanks so much for your information and opinions - you're the best!
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you for this review and the beautiful swatches! I want to be more adventurous in my make up in general. The Urban Decay Electric Palette, came out not too long ago I believe, but for someone like me thats a bit extreme. I have been really wanting to try more matte colors but again, Im not a pro at all and I have always been scared of matte colors because they seem to need more technique or blending if I am making sense. Its the only way I can explain it. In the video, you can totally see how easily the colors blend, not scary at all for a newbie like me. Totally gonna pick up this palette, plus the colors are just gorgeous! Natural yet there are a couple pops of color within the palette!
ReplyDeleteI don't know this brand but the plalette looks great!
ReplyDeletethis palette is beautiful!!! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous palette. I will have to check it out in stores soon but I love your review and the tutorial you posted on youtube. It cosmetics is a new discovery for me but so far I've loved everything I've used from them.
ReplyDeleteSo very lovely! I don't think It Cosmetics gets enough love :)
ReplyDeleteWere you chilly Tiff? I love this palette and wouldn't have known about it had you not shared- thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so pretty :)

Wow the palette looks great though maybe too many bold colors I would say...in contrast to what they´re saying ''naturally pretty..'' you would think it has more nudes!
ReplyDeleteNevertheless looks great! ^^

Tiffany, have you tried the "transforming pearl" on eye shadows by other brands? I wonder if it only works with their formulation. I hope they will eventually sell this as a single product.
ReplyDeleteWow! Anti-aging eye shadows!? Who would have thought that would exist! This palette looks amazing! I wonder where I can get it in Canada.
ReplyDeleteIt cosmetics are wonderful. I have several things from her line but not this palette. I will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteAwesome palette! The packaging kind of reminds me of a Sigma palette! Very pretty colors! Great review and swatches!

This looks like an excellent pallet. I don't currently have IT cosmetics in my ulta but I saw signs that it's coming and I couldn't be happier. Would you recommend any other products by IT cosmetics for when I am able to purchase other things from the line. Thanks so much!!

OMG!!! This is a very pretty palette. I super like the colors so they will def create different beautiful looks. This will be my next purchase and that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteI ordered my first IT cosmetics after your review of the CC cream. I ordered the tightline mascara at that time and have loved that as well. After hearing such a rave review from you I ordered the palette last night. I was also wondering if have had the opportunity to try the under eye product from IT that you had mentioned in that haul video. I am very much in the hunt for something to help under my eye (which are much more mature than yours!)
ReplyDeleteHi there. I've been using It Cosmetics for awhile now as well. Just love them. So glad Jamie brings them to TSC here in Canada.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the new Brow powder gel liner in auburn. Finally a shade for a redhead. Pretty good match for me. The Celebration foundation is great too. You mentioned the CC Cream. Does it have medium coverage? Thinking it would be great for the summer.
At XMas she brought a cute palette just for us Canadians. With shadows, blush, bye bye under eye and lip stains. A winner for sure. The makeup is also good for you. No Talc etc. Which is an added bonus.
I have enjoyed your It look tutorials so far.
Have a great weekend
Nancy
You have completely converted me to this palette. it looks gorgeous. After seeing the website ive just order 12 items :D

If you enter the word "insider" for a coupon code on the IT website, this palette will only cost $33 and that includes free shipping!
ReplyDeleteJust went on the It cosmetics website, and they are having a Friends and family sale - 25% off your order! Needless to say, it was a no-brainer to buy the Naturally Pretty palette for only $31.50, with free shipping! Use the code CELEBRATE by April 8th :)
ReplyDeleteI love the palette but Im debating between this one or the chocolate bar from too faced, which one do you think would be better?
ReplyDeleteWould you rather have the Naked 3 or the IT cosmetics pallete? Don't know which to buy! need help lol
