I picked up this beauty during a recent trip to Ulta where I went to spend my rewards points and pick up some sunscreen. Well, a full-out haul happened.
Oh, Ulta... Isn't that always the way?
You can check out my newest haul video on my YouTube channel showing this palette and all the other goodies I picked up. But since I found this palette to be so special, I figured it deserved its own blog post.
Full of swatch-y goodness.
The palette sells for $42 and contains 16 eye shadows and one Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.
I'm loving the colors... This is seriously one of the most versatile palettes I've ever seen. EVERY SINGLE color is very pigmented and swatches like butter.
Besides the amazing quality, the color selection is absolutely awesome. I've said this a ton of times, but with palettes, I can't justify spending a lot of money on something that I have to add a lot of other colors to to make it work. This one has a mix of matte and frosted shades that work beautifully together, as well as a great mix of highlight shades, darker shades, blending shades, and some fun colors as well.

What do YOU think about this palette? Have you tried it? Will you be picking it up?
I got this palette as a gift last week and I am in love with it as well as the primer. I haven't had a occasion to use the darker shadows for a smokey look but I love the left side so far. I've used it each day, almost a full week and not disappointed yet.
ReplyDeleteWould love to see a post about different kinds of blushes (which are your favorite, how to use different kinds, ect.). One of my favorites is your Christmas Decor - maybe some holiday decor over the next few months. Would also like to see an easy "work" makeup look.
ReplyDeleteDebated on the Lorac Pro, and ended up getting the Stila In the Light instead. Will be interested to see a tutorial! Could you do a smoky eye tutorial for the workplace? I work with a lot of women who don't wear a lot of makeup, but I'd still like something other than a neutral eye... any ideas? -Liz
ReplyDeleteThose are the 2 palettes that I'm trying to decide between!
DeleteHi -- I love the stila In the Light -- I use it every day, interspersed with the In the Moment palette. Tiffany's tutorials have made me more confident in using darker shades. Just picked up the Lorac Pro with points at Ulta today. Decided on it because it has more highlight shades than the Naked palettes for my skin tone -- can't wait to try it! :) - Liz
DeleteI want to get the palette now! i love all the colors and i think it will be perfect for fall! thank you for the swatch xo

I like most Lorac palettes, but I'm not sure how I feel about this one. To me the Unzipped palette had bigger and better shadows, with almost no fallout. While these are so loosely packed that there is a ton of it.
ReplyDeleteOMG. I need this! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post!

I've been trying to ignore all the reviews on this palette because I am on a no-buy right now for beauty stuff... but I can't wait to get my hands on this... Those swatches are SO lovely! It's also cheaper than the Naked palettes and has a few more shades that seem to be a little more versatile. Great review!!

I loved this palette, but I think the lower shadows look so much like the original Naked palette! I wanted to get only the upper half! beaaaautiful tho
ReplyDeleteI love how diverse this palette is! One of the best for sure😊😊
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the swatches beautiful! They are gorg.
ReplyDeleteI need this palette in my life! Even thought i have a lot eyeshadows. But when It comes to makeup a lot is not enough haha

I bought this palette a couple months ago and I'm getting close to hitting pan on the bronze color already haha. I love this palette so much! My go to for basically every day.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this palette! Super pigmented, easy to blend, color transfer to lids is true. Well worth the $$$! In my opinion, this palette is above and beyond the Naked palette...{{gasp!}} It's true! If you're on the fence whether or not to purchase, then you better get ready to jump because you will not regret it!
ReplyDeleteI finally broke over and bought this palette. No regrets! Love it, love it, love it! I love that its half matte and the shimmers are subtle enough I can use them at my age & it looks good.
ReplyDeleteooh mauve and sable are so pretty! it's really nice that this palette has an equal number of matte and shimmer shades - i would much rather invest in one of these than have to get say 2 of the UD naked palettes for the same finishes!

The palette looks so perfect for fall! Could you do some tutorials on different looks with it?
ReplyDeleteI bought this palette 2 months ago and I love it! The colors are beautyful and very pigmented. At first I wasn't sure if I should get it because I own both Naked Palettes but I'm so glad I did get it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see some Tutorials with this palette.

Lovely!! Now I'm torn - I was going to get one of the Naked palettes for my birthday, but now this is in the running, too.

Argh i want this really bad and seeing your review has made me want it even more. In Australia, from the only place we can get it, it is $66 which seems like a lot but reading this review it also seems with it!

HI!
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, I love a good eyeshadow palette. One with neutrals and a variety medium to dark shades. I like the deeper shades of the palette, but the more neutral shades just aren't doing it for me.
I'd rather Smashbox's The Master Class Palette II and Too Faced's Natural Eye Neutral Eyeshadow Collection.
Thanks!
I would love to see a video on all your favorite eyeshadow palettes.
ReplyDeleteThis palette is absolutely on my wish list! I've been craving some matte pink hues. Lorac is brilliant for doing half matte and half shimmer. Can't wait to see some tutorials from you on this...
ReplyDeletePalette looks gorgeous, please do a tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI love this palette!!!
ReplyDeletesuper versatile!!
you can create so many looks out of it!
and I love your ootd~~so so cute!!!

Best palette EVER! I've been wearing these shadows for about 5 months now. The colors are super blendable and long lasting. I don't love the primer (my heart belongs to UD primer potion) but these shadows provide tons of different looks and sometimes I add some colors from my Naked 1 palette. You'd seriously have everything you'd ever need with those 2 palettes and a few single shadows in your favorite colors. I like that the Pro has 3X more matte shadows than the Naked's. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all the colors in the palette! This will be included on my shopping list. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I think I need this palette in my life. I'm all for neutral palettes at the moment! It's looks gorgeous! xx

How about a video using these colors and a smokey eye. Love this palette
ReplyDeleteBarbie
Will you please do a video using this palette that offers say 5 or 6 different looks? You could skip the primer and foundation and just go with an eye look, a cheek color and a lip color for each one. I always see the same tutorials for these palettes and it would be great to have a variety of looks in a single 12-15 minute video. Pretty please?? :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this has been asked, but.. if you have Naked1, are there mostly dupes in this palette? Or are they different enough to warrant having both?
ReplyDeleteThis palette seems to be genius, but I cannot justify it. It is truly similar to the MAC colors that you showed. I feel that I can do about the same look with these colors. I'll eventually give in and purchase it, but not yet ... I am resisting ;).
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to see tutorials of a bunch of different looks using this palette. Like an everyday neutral look, smokey eye, and whatever other looks you can make with this one palette. Sometimes having so many colors makes it hard to know what to do with them all. So knowing how to do a bunch of different looks would be great!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog & all your videos!
Wow! I love your photos and I look forward to reading about your journey! Amazing!

Thanks for sharing! I've been on the fence about getting the Pro palette and your swatches are a big help!
ReplyDeletemkr90.blogspot.com
This palette is the best palette I have bought in the last 9 months. I don't even have to pick up another color to make a complete look. The colors are so pigmented and easy to blend. Because they are so soft and pigmented, they do tend to create fall out in the palette itself and on the face; but it is worthwhile to look past that considering the variety and quality of the shadows. The colors swatch NOTHING like the Naked 1 palette, even though some do look similar. They are much more wearable (and I'm a HUGE fan of the Naked 1, I just can't create many looks without using other shadows or palettes with it) and are purrrrfect for Fall! And for the price?? Really, you cannot beat the quantity and quality for $42. The absolute only thing that would have made it better would be if it came with a double ended blending brush/shader brush, IMHO. I'm a blonde haired, fair skinned, light eyed gal, and I love it as much as my dark haired, dark skinned, dark eyed daughters do. In other words, it will look fabulous on everyone!! If you don't have it, please go and get it! You'll be so very glad you did!!
