Seriously, it's not that intense and you don't have to be a pro to flatter your face with a bit of highlighting and contouring action. Best part? If you wear foundation and concealer, you probably already have everything you need for this easy tutorial.
The idea is to apply your foundation in a way that highlights and contours, rather than adding extra steps and extra products specifically made for sculpting your face.
Highlighting and contouring is all about emphasizing your best features and flattering your face. So check out my video tutorial below to pick up some of my best highlighting and contouring tips and follow along with your own products. If you've never tried these techniques, you'll be shocked at the difference!
Products Used:
Sigma Brushes
(F84, P88, F86, F35, F20, F05)
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser foundation (foundation that matches your skin tone or slightly darker)
Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ liquid foundation (foundation or concealer a few shades lighter than your skin tone)
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Under Eye Concealer
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder, shade 1 (or lighter face powder)
Nars Laguna Bronzer (or darker face powder)
Hope you guys try the tutorial and LOVE the results!
I don´t understand, how people sometimes complain that there is only Kim K. and her make-up artist, who apparently "invented the contouring method for shading and highlighting", when clearly there are so many creative ways and products to use and have been there for so long already...You did a good job and are a nice example for that!

Contouring and highlighting is a technique that has been around as long as makeup itself. People have different methods, for sure.
DeleteTiffany, toward the end you applied a "shimmery" powder from a compact over the highlighted area. I didn't catch the name. Could you tell me?
ReplyDeleteIt was "candlelight" from Too Faced... :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!

ReplyDeleteMany women end up spending a lot of money trying to find an under-eye concealer that doesn't make the problem worse than it already is. The best under eye concealer, which brightens up eyes and hides dark circles and wrinkles, can be hard to find. That's why you need some help in picking the top rated products.

ReplyDeleteI apply concealer to cover my dark circles which works but then i can see a shadow under one eye even after the concealer, i am using estee lauder double wear concealer, not sure if i am missing a step. I have tried talking to couple of people but since i am live in canada, its hard to find people who really know makeup.
thanks
I loved this tutorial! It really helped me! I'm a beginner in contouring and highlighting so this really helped me out! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks for another helpful video! I was wondering if you had tried the MAC Prep+Prime Beauty Balm? It seems like if it lives up to all its claims that it would be a wonderful product. If you have and find that the BB is not for you what is a similar product that you think does a better job?
ReplyDeletePS Congrats on your eye palette! I have been watching you videos almost as long as you have been making them and it is wonderful to hear this great news for you!!
Hi Tiffany! I'm not sure if you answer questions, but if you do, I was wondering if you could help me figure out what MAC shade I am! I wear "I'm so money honey" in Benefit's Hello Flawless foundation, which is supposed to be 'golden sand for medium complexions'. Thanks for the help!!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how you used products we already have, so we didn't all have to go out and buy a bunch of new products to contour and highlight. Very helpful video!
