Equals no one likes that. Or your sweaty runny makeup face.
Couldn't resist.
So I wanted to share this great way of applying makeup during these warmer months in a way that keeps your makeup looking flawless, gives you great coverage, and really uses little product. So you're not suffocating underneath layers of products or heavy foundation.
To see my trick and my current Spring/Summer foundation tutorial, check out my video below!
xoxo,
Tiffany
Great tutorial, Tiffany. I agree that people should change their foundation routine when the weather changes.

ReplyDelete"...and I use my studio finish concealer by MAC which is a mess..." XD you're funny^^ What shade did you use for that concealer? (I use the same shade MUFE 30, so I'd like to check that MAC thing out)
ReplyDeleteAlso, if use sponge or beauty blender to blend, do you also use them damp?
great post and great blog now following :)

Tiffany, what about primer? Skip it? I use Too Faced Primed and Poreless... and thanks, I experimented with this technique this morning. Works great!
ReplyDeleteGood advice! When you dampen the F84, doesn't the water get down into the ferrule?? I'm always so afraid of ruining my brushes. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Thanks! I passed on your tutorial to my sisters. I am going to try this with my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (even though you were using foundation) cuz I think it makes for smoother application if the brush is damp. I don't need much coverage but when I do I am gonna try this with foundation like you showed us. Thanks again. Luv the dog in the background. She wants to be a star I think. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this trick! :)
ReplyDeleteWhich shade are you in MAC studio finish and the Maybelline age rewind concealer and also the Age Rewind powder?
very nice! I`ll go try this on my foundation! I`m very excited about the age-rewind powder... I have to check if it is really like the skinfinish natural. Lovely as always!!

ReplyDeleteno no no! Not at all. You just slightly dampen it. Point the brush downward as you would when you clean it. Just quickly pass the brush under the water and immediately dab it off with a towel. =absolutely no water in the ferrule :) Hope that helps!
@NicoleB. My shade in the concealer is "fair" and in the powder, I'm the lightest shade- not sure of the shade name
ReplyDeleteThanks for replying. :)
DeleteI always wanted to try that one but they only have to shades of the concealer in our drug stores. But I think they have the "fair" one. When it matches you it could match me too. I'll definitely try it out. Thank you! (:
i love the age rewind powder! it has like some kind of reflectives in it or something that seriously smooth out the lines in your face.

ReplyDeletelove your tutorials! Can you do a tutorial on the new Origins tinted moisturizer that came out a couple weeks ago? If you have bought it :P
ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany,
ReplyDeleteYou talk a lot about different brand of make up but I was wondering what you think about the CLINIC product ? It seems more affordable for me but I would be sure that it worth it.
Thank you,
Emilie from Belgium.

ReplyDeleteI've been watching your videos for about a year now and while I was intrigued by your love for the Sigma brushes, I wasn't so intrigued that I considered purchasing any of them...
ReplyDelete...until I watched this video the other night! I was so impressed with the finish you achieved that I immediately ordered the F84, F86, and a Make Me Cool kit for good measure ;) I hope I like them as much as my MAC brushes!
I tried this trick with MAC's prolongwear foundation and it looks so good!
ReplyDeleteyou are fabulously informative & i LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteI am for sure gonna have to try this trick thanks for sharing...also I saw in your March favorites video about your dry hands, I have the same issue especially in winter dry chapped flaky cracky hands to the points sometimes it gets so bad they crack and bleed even and I have tried soooooooo many things to get rid of it and what I have found that I love, and gets rid of it is actually the Mary Kay Satin Hands system...it;s a 3 part treatment that you can do as often as you like/need but usually once a week makes the biggest difference for me. it has this super creamy almost toothpaste like cream its super moisturizing you rub it in let it sit for maybe a minute or 2 then it has a scrub/wash you scrub scrub scrub your hands and wash away the dead dry skin then after washed and dried there is a hand lotion. and no mater the lotion i use from day to day when i do this 3 step system it makes the biggest difference! if you would like some samples you can always contact a local mary kay rep or let me know i can mail you some of mine but it really does make a difference and when i heard you describe your hands dry flaky blotchy it sounds exactly like what i get in the winter too anyways good luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great tip... I never thought of that! Maybe I'm too used to hearing "less makeup for Summer" which is a nightmare for me. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me nominating you for Versatile Blogger Award (did a post in my blog). I've been a subscriber to your YT channel for more than two years now (using my other account since this one is fairly new). And I think you are amazing and I envy your lashes. =)
ReplyDeleteWow,excellent video Tiff! Thanks so much for all the cool and useful tips; I will definitely make use of them!!

Thank you for an amazing video, Tiffany! What thoughts do you have on using the trick with BB cream? I know you have mentioned not to use a tinted moisturizer. But a BB cream is a lot thicker than a tinted moisturizer and it does last longer. But again, I want to ask you before actually going for it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you for this tutorial! I tried makeup forever Matte velvet + in my shade exactly how you did it and I LOVED it!!! It didn't feel cakey or like I had much of anything on. I can't express how much I loved it! Btw, I love you blog and you tube page, I'm addicted. Can you do a video for a beginner eye shadow application or let be know the steps. I'm knew at this, and completely suck at applying shadow.
