Luckily, I discovered some "pen" style liquid liners a few years back (when I first used MAC's Penultimate liner) and I was impressed at how easy they were to use. For some reason, using them really didn't "stick" with me until recently. I've been using these "pen" liners non-stop. Seriously, can't remember the last time I used any other type of liner. My favorite I've tried? By far, the Revlon Colorstay Pen.
So if you can use a marker or a pen, you can do this, I swear. Nothing tricky about it. I also am in love with the thinner (but still very pigmented), almost stain-like formulas of these. Perfect for these warmer months because they are so long-wearing.
Alright, so enough pen-liner praise.
Check out the video below for a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a perfect winged look. Did I mention how easy this is?? Seriously. Easy as pie.

Tiffany

Someone just introduced me to Bobbie Browns eye liner that apply using a brush. Was scared at first but find it better than my usual pens now.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for getting me into Lush! I know it's unrelated but I used to be so put off the smell of the shop that now I love the products :)

This was so helpful. I've been wanting to venture into the world of pen liners. I love how you apply subtle neutral shadows to add some depth to the classic cat eye look. I also really like how give advice for women with darker skin tones than you - it's something that isn't always acknowledged by beauty bloggers and is super important.
ReplyDeleteHow do you feel about winged liner with the lower liner done also? Tacky or a good night look?!
ReplyDeletethanks for the tips!

Hi Tiffany. I just discovered your videos and love them! You are so pretty! I'm wondering if you could tell me which eyeshadows you used in the video? My volume is broken on my pc and I couldn't make out what you said. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI noticed that you have really long eyelashes, I used to have long lashes, too but ever since I used mascara on a daily basis and after cleaning it every night, I find that they got shorter, I think or not as thick. How do you maintain thick and long lashes? And also, do you know a product that helps lashes and eyebrows grow thick?
Btw, I just subscribed to your Youtube channel. You have great stuff here in your blog, I'm definitely following.
Thanks,
Audrey from the Philippines! =D

Hey Tiffany! First off, I love all your tutorials, I think your great! My question is in regards to the order in which you do your make-up? What gets done first, face, eyes, brows? What do you recommend? Thanks.
