Long Time, No LUSH....

What is it with me and LUSH? I LOVE LUSH. But I don't shop there often.

Maybe it has something to do with my giant pretty apothecary jar stashed with bath bombs waiting to be used...
Which I shamefully change out with seasonal LUSH things depending on the time of year.

Or maybe it has to do with my even more shameful storage drawer container designated just for my LUSH stash. I keep it in my closet because it makes it smell so nice. Bonus.
Yeah. I'm thinking it has more to do with the latter.

When we bought our home, I have to admit, the giant garden tub was a huge selling point for me. Why? Because from the time I saw it, I imagined myself taking LUSH baths EVERY SINGLE DAY. Did that happen? No. I'm more of a shower gal...
Is it too late to make a new resolution for 2012? Use up my LUSH stuff and take more baths. Shouldn't be too hard to stick to.

So now that I've shared all my dirty LUSH secrets, this post seems even more ridiculous.

My question to you... HOW do you all stash your unused LUSH things? Are you like me and end up mysteriously acquiring shameful amounts of the stuff? Are you even more like me and keep buying it anyway?

Ok, so just watch my LUSH Haul video below to see the new unnecessary things I purchased...

xoxo,
Tiffany

  2. I keep my lush stuff in a similar drawer system to yours! It's the best!

  3. I put all mine in individual zip lock backs and store them all in a giant pink stripy hat box on top of my bookshelf. I love Lush and I am definitely am more of a baths girl but I still forget to use my Lush products!

  4. I would say I'm a Lush "Hoarder". My husband always says I have enough stuff but I get more anyway...I just want it before I can't get it! (That's how they get you!!! LIMITED EDITION!) I ended up having to give away a bunch of bath bombs because I don't have a tub anymore!

OMG Jennifer... That's the thing. They get me the same way with the Limited Edition stuff. It's impossible to resist!

YES! Ziploc bags are essential. Just because those little baggies absorb the oils in the product over time and I'm convinced the melts will dry out. I even reuse the Ziploc bags for more LUSH (which is obviously my problem) which makes it super easy.

  8. I keep mine in jars just like that in the bathroom...and the rest in drawers! I am such a Lush Hoarder too...it can be embarrassing! Lol! I don't use my stuff nearly enough but I still buy it! I am always a sucker for the holiday collections...then I end up having a Santa face stare at me all year cause I haven't used it (this is what is going on right now)! But I will always buy it and just try to take as many baths as I can. I'm a shower girl too! I loved seeing Waylon react that way to the scent...so funny! My husband and I are getting our Golden Retriever pup Easter weekend...I'm interested to see if she reacts that way too! :) Keep up the great videos, you are so fun to watch!

  11. All of my bombs and bubble bars are in heat shrink bags to make sure they dont lose their scent. My soaps are cut up into smaller chunks in zip lock bags the ones I wont use any time soon are also in heat shrink bags. All of it is in a large drawer system like yours under my sink ( little cubby opening )

  12. you always have the cutest stuff! can i ask where those jars are from? i have ones that are similar but have been looking for larger ones.

  13. Love LUSH so much. Worked there for years and still use the stuff all the time.

  14. How's this for nerdy--I go to Lush once a year, usually in the fall. I really only take baths once a week during the colder months (so, let's say November through March). I calculate how many bath bombs, bubble bars, etc. will get me through a winter's worth of baths (and also calculate which bath products I can split into smaller pieces, therefore getting more baths out of them) and that's how many I buy. It is RIDICULOUS!
I store mine in ziploc bags, in a plastic box with lid underneath my bathroom sink.

  15. @prettyshinysparkly Thanks! I got them from Hobby Lobby & Home Goods. Those are usually the best places to find the larger jars for a good price

Over the years, I've tried almost everything :/ Which is kind of embarrassing haha. But I've never had much luck with their skincare. It's so fun to use, but it just doesn't work for me. However, I LOVE their hair products! Purchased some of it in this particular haul video in the post too! :)

  20. If I am going to use a face mask that needs 10 or 15 minutes or a hair mask or something that requires some time I will run a bath and use my bubble bars or bombs so I can use up my stash at the same time. And if its easier to wash the hair mask out in the shower I will just jump in there for 2 minutes at the end just to rinse it out. I am also trying to read more so sometimes I will take a book or something. I also have way too much Lush stuff but I am getting through it. I have 6 different shower gels in my shower at the moment and a different soap for the shower, bath, and two for the sink lol.

  21. I keep mine in my closet too- sometimes I'll put on a sweater and once I leave my apartment I notice that it smells like lush!

  28. Hi Tiffany! I am not sure if you are aware that LUSH Cosmetics supports PLO extremists who work with the Hamas terrorist organization. In fact, LUSH has quietly closed its Beverly Hills, California location several months after a group known as “Join the Boycott LA” (www.JTBLA.com) organized a protest outside the store to expose the company’s support of PLO extremism. If you purchase LUSH cosmetics, you are supporting terrorism and anti-Israel extremist groups. I also used to purchase LUSH products until I learned about who they support. Tell people the TRUTH about where their money is going! Thanks!

  29. I definitely needed to read this post! I bought a smaller plastic bin for my lush goodlies ( the one you showed us for your nail polishes) but I ran out of room a long long time ago so I have 2 bag from lush sitting in my room filled with stuff. I keep everything in ziplock bags to keep it from getting everywhere or drying out. The limited edition is a HUGE weakness for me as well, I have actually been stalking lush's Facebook waiting for them to announce Easter stuff! It's so bad!

  30. I keep my bath bombs in my drawers to keep my clothes smelling delicious :)

  31. I have been on a LUSH shopping freeze until I use up a good chunk of my stash. I think my biggest problem is storage! I store my LUSH in too many places so I don't realize how much I really have accumulated. I have massage bars in a plastic storage box under the bed, hair products in a box in the linen closet, a wire basket with bath bombs & bubble bars in bathroom and additional bombs & bars in plastic boxes in 2 different closets. LUSH is stashed away everywhere! I probably spent 15 minutes last night looking for my avobath bath bomb for a green St. Patrick's Day bath. I felt a little crazy! I need to put everything in one place and come to terms with my addiction :) I love your storage drawers idea. I think I'm going to try that.

  32. I don't have a Lush anywhere near me so I've never tried it. I look at their website and get overwhelmed and then click out. LOL. But it looks so nice. Maybe one day I'll actually purchase something...

  36. I feel like I like Lush in theory: I enjoy watching Lush hauls because all their products are so cute and unique. I LOVE their bath bombs (nothing else makes as amazing bubbles) but their shampoo & conditioners dried out my hair :(

  41. I am so obsessed with Lush. I went there to buy my boyfriend a new Dirty body wash, which he LOVES, and walked out with two bags full of goodies (regardless of the fact that I have two drawers of the stuff in my bathroom and a stash in the guest bath). I love the idea of this apothecary jar, though!! How cute!!

  45. Hi Tiffany! Because of your video I decided to find a Lush and give it a go. So far I'm really loving it. I'm all about clean/citrus smells so the Stepping Stone and Sexy Peel smell fantastic. And Ocean Salt...can't forget the margarita smelling scrub. Did my own haul video that I'm trying to upload now...my first video! I'll link you or something since I kept bringing up your name so many times lol

  46. I have so much Lush stuff myself. My storage trick is to cut my bubble bars in half and place the halves into snack size ziploc baggies. Once they are in the baggies I crush them, so that they are a bit more compact and easier to store. My bath bombs I store in the yellow Lush baggies that I get from Lush then I tape the top down so if one happens to break it won't get all over everything, then label the baggie. My method may be a little much, but it helps with finding stuff a lot easier.
