Nails: Chanel Mimosa

Yellow is probably the color least-worn on my nails. My opinion has always been:"Yellow and nails just don't mix".

Until I saw this color by Chanel and caved.

Spending $25 on a nail polish is usually a practice I reserve for the crazies (you know you're reading this...), but I've been known to lose my mind from time to time.

Mimosa by Chanel is a lemon-yellow with a golden frost to it. The frost isn't too intense though. From a distance, you wouldn't even notice it. I'm not too crazy about the formula. Of course, two coats is the way to go. However, with two THICK coats, it still looked a bit streaky in spots and the whites of my nails still show through a bit.

Overall, if you have a little patience with the formula, it's a fun and unexpected twist on nail color for Spring!

It *is* a pretty color, but for $25 I'd expect the formula to be better! Maybe I'm just picky. Haha! Happy (early) Easter!

InStyle has this nail polish listed as an example of yellow nail color. I guess Yellow is the up and coming nail trend. I love it!!! :)

I think that for that price there should be no complaints haha. I would probably find that somewhere else for a lot less and formula to be about the same just with a great top coat. But I think the color is very pretty I like to explore different shades.

I have the same opinion that StephanieR731 has. And I am sure it is not just our opinion. I read on Fashion Polish blog it is very similar to another Chanel nail polish called L.A Sunrise, so it basically is not even a statement polish, like the last collection Les Perles de Chanel.
Anyway, thank you for sharing this post!

Have a nice day sweetie.

It is such a pretty color, really fun and playful, but I would expect a good formula for that kind of money. Still, you look at it and just wanna smile.

I love this color on you, but there is no way it would look good with my skin tone!

Nice colour.
Just yet I read a blog post about another yellow nail polish. But this one looks darker. So that was no dupe, unfortunately

Oh how great colour for Easter! (Eating easter-eggs right now...) But the prize and formula just don't match very well.

For this money, I would expect a fantastic formulation!! I bought a very similar color yesterday for 3.50 and it also streaks a little...but hey, for 3.50 I'm not too annoyed about it. For 25 I would be quite angry.
