My New Office! (Photo Tour)

If you all follow both of my YouTube channels, MakeupByTiffanyD and TiffanyDtv, then you know that during the past few weeks I've been working on a little project in the room I film in. Well, I guess a little project that turned into a big project, that ultimately resulted in a very stressful trip to Ikea. But it was all very worth it! Over the last couple weeks, I've shown you little bits and pieces of the new room, info on the furniture, and shared the progress with you all here and there in random videos.
Now it's (almost) finished and decorated. ...and yes, I actually found something to put inside of all those shelves! :)
In the next day or so, I'll be posting a tour of the new room on one of my YouTube channels.
I've been enjoying the new space SO much. Not only is it beautiful, but it's so practical. I finally have an office space of my own and a TON of extra storage for all of my office-y things.
Here is a little peek of the new room for you all!


The new furniture strangely made the tiny room feel much more spacious...
Bookshelf: Hemnes storage combination (Ikea)
Desk: Liatorp desk (Ikea)
All mirrored furniture: Hayworth collection: Jewelry Amoire, Lingerie Chest, Vanity table with Mirror and Bench (Pier 1)

Still need to find a great chair. Until then, my lil' wire-y one will have to do.

Added a new super girly chandelier... why not. (Home Depot)

The storage in this desk is AMAZING.
Awww at the poor lil' wire-y chair...haha. That's the only thing left to find! The perfect chair.

In the process of getting a glass topper for the desk. I'm paranoid about ruining it before then.


Spruced-up my little bookshelf. It used to be my Papaw's- he kept his records in there. I painted it white. I decided to add some short cafe curtains to cover the clutter inside. The top shelf houses my nail polish collection. The bottom shelf holds random books.

The new shelf is great for photo storage- From my photo boxes to framed ones to display...

One of my favorite wedding pictures. Brad is not in it though...lol
To-do: Find wedding picture to display in office that actually has husband in it.




Added a new lamp from Target...


And yep, my makeup/filming area stayed just the same!


aaand this is how I work... Still haven't decided if I'm a PC or a MAC. :/

  16. I love it. I love the white, always have. My bedroom when I was a teenager was white and pink and it just makes you feel good. Great job on the revamp!

  25. Super cute! I love the color of the walls too. So cozy looking yet elegant! I love Ikea. I am currently working on my walk-in closet but now looking at these pictures an office renovation sounds pretty good, ha!

    I say PC because I'm a PC. I actually can't use any version of a Mac computer because they use LED backlighting. If you can tolerate LED backlighting, go for a Mac; if you can't, go for the PC! Some PCs have LED backlighting, others have LCD backlighting.

  37. Everything is so adorable,when you get the glass for the desk,you should put pictures under that,it will look nice... I wish i could do that in my house but my husband is too grumpy! he makes inplication about everything girly and he only like brown furniture what i hate, but when i finally get to work after my son go to school I'll make this house be about me too.

  52. hmmm as a chair idea i'd put something with a lil more weight there, having that huuuge bookcase in the back and something modern with a romantic touch, and preferably in black and white for a more contrasty look if ya know what i mean, this is what i was thinking of...

  54. It turned out really nice! :) I actually work on sales at Ikea in Norway. Hemnes is a place in Norway, and Liatorp is a place in Sweden. Always so cute when Americans pronounce Scandinavian words :)

I am sure you are going to be inundated with chair recommendations, but at the risk of further overwhelming you, I'd like to plug the office chair that changed my life: The Swopper Chair by Via. Seriously, my back has never been happier and I love that it slides under the desk, completely out of sight when not being used. Plus, it's a ton of fun to sit on and comes in really great colors.

    You've done a fantastic job with the room's design. I love your style!

  71. Gorgeous! I definitely say mac as well, much better for video/photo editing/artsy stuff, and then has all the capabilities of a PC. Plus you can install windows on your apple computer as well if you need to. I used to be a PC girl until I switched a realized how much better macs are, haha

  76. A seagrass chair would look great in your office. It would be a change of texture and color and make all other stuff pop even more. (Pottery Barn sells some cool ones.)

  83. I love how clean and simple it looks. All the clutter is hidden, and just pretty decor items show. Reminds me of when you enter a nice hotel room. It looks great because all the items of every day living are not visible.

The hubs and I are considering making the hike to the nearest IKEA (at least an hour and a half away) as we are in need of office furniture for him and I know there will be things I just NEED to have once I get there (I am actually really in the market for some fab makeup organization...any suggestions btw?)   89. i was watching your video on youtube about your newly redecorated office, and i noticed you pointed out a Disney Villains calendar. i am a graphic designer for the company that made that calendar. i didn't design this particular calendar, another designer did, but i immediately recognized it (it was designed a year and a half ago!) and had to go tell my boss that you showed one of our calendars on your video! if i design the Villains calendar this year, maybe i'll send you one! by the way, love your youtube channel!

  91. hi tiffany! i was just wondering what light bulds you use, not the actually lamps just the bulbs :) im on the hunt for good lighting but ive never seen bulbs that look like that and your videos always look so well lit and not to crazy and over bright! thanks<3

  109. Hi Tiffany! I just subbed to you on You tube and this is weird but I have all the same furniture and a lot of the same products, jewelry, etc. So obviously we have similar taste...I actually showed my husband yesterday and he laughed at all the stuff we had that is EXACTLY the same.

  121. Your office looks great! The green is so sweet and elegant, yet sophisticated at the same time. A glass top for the desk is a great idea, since white gets dirty so quickly and is the most frustrating color to clean. Haha! Plus, a glass top will prevent scuff marks on the paint. I actually think your wiry chair is pretty cool there, too. If you want to keep it there, maybe you could paint that white as well, or maybe even green. Then again, the black is good, so that there’s a tiny break in the color scheme.
