Full-Face, Defined Makeup in 5 Minutes

I absolutely hate being late. I also absolutely hate running late. That rushed feeling of waking up knowing you have only a few minutes to get yourself together and out the door. Most of the time, we put our hair in a ponytail, throw on some lipgloss (maybe) and some face powder (...if I even remember to bring it). Most of the time, that will cut it.
What really freaks me out is if I'm running late for something important. Where a ponytail and lipgloss alone just won't do. Maybe you have a special event at work or you're meeting someone important. Or you just want to actually leave the house looking extra polished and put-together.
Simple makeup in 5 minutes? Simple. Easy. It can totally be done. Take a few shortcuts, skip defined eye makeup (multiple eye shadow colors, heavier liner) and you're done.
But if you're like me, you like a little something extra. A more defined eye and no skimping on the eye liner.
Let me tell you, this video almost drove me crazy while I was filming. My heart was racing! I had my stopwatch feature on my iPhone ticking away in front of me knowing I couldn't edit, restart, or most importantly, go beyond 5 minutes.
Foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, eye primer, shadow (more defined), liner, mascara, brows, lips.... All done within 5 minutes with a little time to fluff your hair left over. ;)
Hope you enjoy!

great video! really helps for those of us who always oversleep..

on a different note - can you do another video that uses the 'humid' eyeshadow by MAC? I really love it and want to do more things with it. thanks!

This video was so much fun to watch! I love to see how people apply their makeup, I mean how they really apply it, no editing and everything! I loved the way you applied that eyeshadow, rolling your eyes, wiping and circling around the corner of your eye, that was hilarious *rofl*

wow... and I thought my 10 minutes were very impressive, guess I need more practice (and some organization) :) Looks great. I love the image of you with the stop watch, great foreshortening and you look so happy.

Great job! This is totally something I am looking for! I'm in a rush every, single, morning! With two kids on my own I rarely get out the door with any makeup on, it's the first thing I do when I get to work, head straight to the bathroom. This is the perfect, quick and beautiful way to do make up! Thanks so much for the tips!

This is great, you look absolutely flawless and did it in 5 minutes only o.O I need to learn that skill haha. Then I could hit "snooze" a couple extra times in the morning.

lushprincess on February 22, 2011 8:50 AM said...[Reply]

I love this video and I tested it this a.m. Having practiced a little with the eye makeup look lately, that I also like very much, helped me a lot. I was a few minutes slower than you, but fast as usual. My concealing takes usually more time, today I skipped one step and I still look good. That is something to remember, but it depends also on the condition of my skin, which is pretty good at the moment. Thank you again for your great ideas. <333

i have no problems doing my make up in 5 minutes if I know I won't be using liquid/gel eyeliner. Only thinking about time limit makes me screw it up :D

HELP!!!
Where can you get the Urban Decay Naked Palette? ULTO and Sephora have been out of stock for ages, and on ebay it's like 70 usd :-(

Tiffany: you have an extremely charming personality, and your videos are both helpful, informative and entertaining.
What kind of job do you have? Are you a make-up artist - or just very talented?
