Essie Damsel in a Dress

My current favorite nail color...

Essie's Damsel in a Dress

Such a deep, unusual color. Looks amazing when topped with a super shiny topcoat like Seche Vite. It creates this gorgeous, shimmery depth. Love it.

...Also, I'm a sloppy painter when it comes to dark colors. Don't judge.

WOW!
Its not a common nail colour. I LIKE! :)

I'm horrible at painting dark nail colours too. I get it all over my fingers!!

I like to wait till everything dries and then dip a Q-tip into nail polish remover and clean the mess on the skin.

XO,
Jess Mai

Hey Tiffany I was wondering if you had any tips on giving yourself pedicures. Every time I get a pedicure my toe ends up hurting, maybe it's from bacteria, and it also is pretty pricey for something that I could do myself. I do not have a very steady hand lol if you could just give me some tips that would be great! Because I would really love to start giving myself pedicures!

Thanks!!
xoxo

This color has made it's way to my wish list! Do you purchase your polishes online or at a store?

TiffanyD on February 4, 2010 9:56 PM said...[Reply]

ohsoswt79: I get all my Essie colors from Ulta :) They have a good selection there :)

Gorgeous color.

Tip for messy painting (which btw your nails look fine to me).

Get a cheap straight eyeliner brush, you know, the flat kind? Dip in acetone and trace along the cuticles and on any spots you get on skin. Easier to use than qtips.

Thank you, Tiffany! While walking around at lunch I passed a store that had an essie display in the window. I picked up the last damsel in a dress!

@ Gina - I was going to leave the same tip. It's saved my life when it comes to home manicures with dark colors.

hello!!! i was wondering if you could maybe do a tutorial for foundation that won't break you out or cause irritation, but also provides really good coverage. Also, preferably something good for beginners that is fairly cheap and possibly at a drugstore---I understand that that's a lot that I am asking for...but could you please do it??? luv ur videos!!!

If you're looking for a great light pink that is opaque, try OPI's Kiss on the Chic. First off, its an OPI nail polish so you know they are going to be great, and the colour is gorgeous. Very light but not sheer :)

Hey Tiffany, I don't remember if I wrote you before but I was wondering if you could do an Audrey Hepburn inspired make up tutorial. For grad my dress is Audrey-esque and I want to look just like her. Thanks a bunch

I would also recommend Wicked by Essie. I live in it as a winter color, it's similar, but with less shimmer and more gloss.
