Beyonce Grammys Inspired Makeup

Products Used:
MAC Painterly Paintpot (cream shadow the color of your skin)
MAC Blackground Paintpot (cream shadow in a matching shade to your eye shadow-dark gray/black)
MAC eye shadow in Print (dark satin gray)
MAC eye shadow in Soft Brown (warm medium brown)
MAC eye shadow in Mylar (light satin cream)
MAC eye shadow in Carbon (matte black)
MAC fluidline in Uppity (dc'd, but any gold liner will work)
MAC eye shadow in Ricepaper (light yellow-golden satin)
Cover Girl Lashblast mascara
NARS powder blush in Madly
MAC lipstick in Creme d' Nude
MAC lipglass in Viva Glam V

*While Beyonce's skin is darker than mine, I used the same shades and intensity of gray on my eyes. So it looks a bit more intense on me. However, if you have skin that is lighter or more fair like mine, you can definitely tone down the intensity of gray. So substitute a lighter gray eye shadow and base for the darker shades for a less-intense effect.

Oh, this is such a beautiful look. I am going to have to recreate it! You did a beautiful job. Also, your specific breakdowns on the blog are fab!

Really nice look! I like the little twist of having gold on the lower lash line.

This is a great look. I think I'm going to wear this look out for my b-day party.

domino011 on February 1, 2010 7:52 PM said...[Reply]

i guess im the only one that really doesnt think this is flattering, unless ur dark skinned :S. its cute up close, but from a distance makes the eyes look really small and looks weird with no or minimal miscara on bottom lashes lol. its kind of pretty, but i reckon for only darker skin. x

caitlin on February 1, 2010 7:58 PM said...[Reply]

i think this looks better on you!! do you think benefit's creaseless cream shadow/liner in 'skinny jeans' would be a good dupe for 'blackground' for this look?

Aleksis on February 1, 2010 8:07 PM said...[Reply]

Wow... It looks exactly the same! lol! I'm so happy I have all those colors, I'm def. going to try this...off topic but I love Beyonce's dark eyebrows/light hair combo..I like...LOVE that look! I may be the only one though LOL

perfect10beauty on February 1, 2010 8:38 PM said...[Reply]

Very pretty! I thought Beyonce's look was flawless.

TiffanyD on February 1, 2010 8:46 PM said...[Reply]

Caitlin- Yes, that would be a good dupe, especially if you have lighter skin and were going for a lighter shade of gray. As Skinny Jeans is lighter than Blackground :)

omg another one of those. beyonce looked horrible!!!! Couldn't you find someone else Tiffany??

Mel on February 1, 2010 11:10 PM said...[Reply]

this is a pretty simple look tiffany. I don't think it deserves a tutorial!

MissEmmy on February 2, 2010 12:04 AM said...[Reply]

you look absolutely gorgeous. one of my faves! what foundation are you wearing in this tutorial?

Kelly on February 2, 2010 1:08 AM said...[Reply]

Really loved the look. I think it suited you better ;) Question - what nail polish are you wearing in the tutorial??

cottoncandytales on February 2, 2010 8:54 AM said...[Reply]

What is up with Beyonces blonde hair and BLACK eyebrows!? Horrible! You look great though.

Make-up Addict on February 2, 2010 9:51 AM said...[Reply]

I think this looks a lot better on you than it does Beyonce. I normally love her make-up but this just doesn't suit her in my opinion.
Plus what is up with her dark eyebrows/light hair?? That's never a good look. Lol.

Anyways, good skills lady :) xx

Hey Tiffany,

I love your Beyonce look from the Grammy's, and I was wondering if you could do a hair and makeup tutorial on Marisa Miller (Victoria's Secret Angel) at the 2010 Grammy's as well. I really liked her beachy look, and was wanting to replicate it for the summer. I live in Statesboro, GA which is about 4 hours away from you, so usually summer weather approaches us fast. I love all your tutorials, and I am so thankful for you to share such great info and tips with people. Thanks again!

Hey I love your videos and all that crap. Anyway instead of writing a love letter I'll just spit it out. In your twitter/ youtube (because I am all up in your shiz, yeah like i said #1 fan) main pics really remind me of that chick Carmindy(what not to wear). Nothing negative about it, just the hair color and basic bone structure from a far make me wtfxcarmindy a little bit.

Chrissy on February 3, 2010 12:21 PM said...[Reply]

I love watching your tutorials because they are very structured and easy to follow.
Love this look btw and I think it looks even better on you than on Beyonce ;)

Hi Tiffany!

Great look again! Can you please do a Sandra Bullock look? Especially one from her movie Ms. Congeniality. THANKS A TON!

Ana on February 7, 2010 1:05 PM said...[Reply]

Hi,
I Loved the look!!
I saw in a Brazilian web page, a very similar makeup. But instead of gold they put a dark blue. And it was really cool especially for people with greens or blue eyes.

Here is the page:

Thanks for the tips!
