Dark Room: Possibly Fall's best nail color...

8/14

...in my opinion, of course :)

I swear, Sephora by OPI is still impressing me. I've yet to be disappointed by a single shade and formula. It's like the best of the OPI formulas...but with the better, smaller -ahem- NORMAL SIZED brush (we all know how much I hate the OPI wide ones...just unecessary). Anyway, This is by far my favorite shade yet! So unique and opaque. I honestly could have gotten away with one coat, but 2 made it completely opaque and streak free. This photo is of Dark Room used with absolutely no base or top coat (I was in a hurry).

well you're lucky,,, dont try "a true romantic" shade.

its awful! its so sheer and the formula is SO runny... it worse then NYC.
i was very confused because i HATED sephora by opi but now i see all these good reviews.. maybe the shade is just too light?

I'm not fond of the wide brushes either. They should go back to the normal-sized ones. Those were so much easier to use.

Its a gorgeous color! I think some black polishes are given too much glitter or reflect and end up looking more like a Halloween polish you forgot to take off. This, however, is perfect for a night out on the town. Thanks for the review!

Tiffany, have you tried any of the new matte polishes? Not sure how I feel about those yet.

I love it! I want Sephora by OPI in Spain!

adventuregirl5-- I've only tried the ones by Zoya and I really love them. The mattes don't wear as long as regular polish, but that's my only complaint. They're actually really pretty =)

I only have two colors from Sephora by OPI "brainiac" and "call your mother" and I love them both! I'm going to have to try this color!

I just got an OPI color from Ulta that is very similar to that one...something about Arragon (I don't remember the exact name). It seems as though dark green is the new hot color from fall. I'm seeing a lot of dark green polishes and eye colors and liners. Very exciting for us brown-eyed girls!
P.S. - I hope this doesn't come off sounding bad, but I'm glad that you don't paint your nails perfectly every time...I feel better about the job I do on my nails! Love your site! :)

Im really excited to whip out my dark colors for fall! I agree, not a fan of OPI's fat brush. You tweeted that you got your ZOYA polishes, what colors did u pick up?

i love this! I can't wait for Sephora to open in Ausralia, so I don't have to use an Agent to ship me items. This colour is fantastic, I WANT!

Just painted this on my nails before I checked your blog and I totally agree! I'm SO in love with this color and I LOVE Sephora by OPI's formula... It lasts longer than any other polish I've ever used (including OPI's regular formulas)

I tried the Bright Sunny Yellow (not the pastel one, but the true yellow one) from Sephora by OPI, but I can't remember the name and it's upstairs somewhere. I'm lazy :). Anyways, that nailpolish was absolutely horrible. I needed like 8 coats to get it to be opaque and pigmented, and then it would never dry, even with a really fast drying top coat over top and a base coat on bottom. It would get all screwed up days later like I had just painted it. It also chipped an hour after I painted them, and stained my nails yellow, so it looked like I had infected nails or something. I am nervous to try another color by that brand, but maybe it was just the yellow that had that problem
