Sigma Makeup Brushes


Finding quality brushes for affordable prices can be difficult. Recently I was introduced to Sigma, a company that sells high quality face and eye makeup brushes. Since receiving them, I've used every single one and cleaned them as well. They work and hold up beautifully and while they are MAC-comparable, I actually prefer some of them to my actual MAC brushes! These are definitely my new babies.
I received the Sigma Makeup Professional Brushes Kit-Complete (with the brush roll), which contains 12 very high quality eye and face brushes. The complete kit with 12 brushes and a very high quality brush roll is $79. You can also purchase the brushes only without the roll for $64, which is great for brushes of this quality. Imagine what you would spend on 12 MAC brushes! This averages out to about $5 a brush. Amazing. I also received the SS182 kabuki-style brush which is a fabulous brush as well and goes for $16.

  1. I've heard of this! I will probably look into it more though...But It is probably a really good deal compared to other brush sets out there that are half the price but pretty bad quality! thanks!

And because i'm portuguese i've the pleasure to meet simone (owner of sigma) and she offer to me the kit essencial eyes and face.I'm very entusiastic on them , but i want to know how really use them, correctly can you make a tuturial using this brushes??

    Thanks so much for this review. I'm just starting my makeup collection and these sound like they will be great starter brushes until I can start a MAC brush collection of my own. I just ordered them and I can't wait to get them in. :)

  14. OMGoodness! I Love that you found these! I really wanted to buy more and more MAC brushes but to me they are super expensive especially if you are wanting to buy a lot. I can definately spend 80 bucks though! I just made a blog too! PLEASE CHECK IT OUT AND GIVE ME SOME TIPS!

  17. I just recieved my brushes yesterday. Washed them and then used them. I noticed that the angled face brush sort of frayed and got frizzy after I washed it...This never really happens. Other than that I loved the brushes! Thanks for the vid!

  21. Thanks so much for giving such honest and complete reviews of these brushes! I ordered a set and got them last weekend... I'm in love! Most of them I love just as much as my MAC brushes. I actually prefer the Sigma 219 and 239!

    I just stumbled across your youtube one day while looking for bridal makeup ideas for my bff.
    I love your tutorials! I've been getting alot of ideas on different color use from you.
    I am so interested in getting these brushes. And my hubby will probably kill me b/c I just bought some no named brush set on ebay...they are ok, just not that great quality wise.

    I have a question...when cleaning your brushes what brush cleaner do you use? I cant find any at the drugstores here. I was wondering if I could use an oil-free eye makeup remover like the kind rimmel makes on them?

    I know you directed your question at Tiffany but I hope you don't mind if I offer a suggestion for a brush cleanser.

    From my experience, MAC Brush Cleanser is the best for a quick daily clean (I believe Tiffany has a video on the method I use). For a deep cleaning, I would suggest a very gentle shampoo such as the Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

    I wouldn't suggest using a makeup remover on your brushes because it could damage the brush bristles and if not that then it may not sleuth off all of the makeup.

  26. actually these are not sold out just yet. i just placed an order for the set w/out the roll & its available..
    i think it's a good starter set, bc from tiff's videos, all the brushes a beginner needs are found in this set.. i think! :-)
    anywhoo, love the posts, tutorials, i recommend it to all of my bffs, and even to my sis (she's a cosmetologist), so maybe she can use some of your ideas :-)

    I have a question for you, the sigma makeup brushes in travel size only have shorter cable or also have shorter head?
    I buy the 'Travel Kit Naughty in Black' because i wanna try the sigma brushes, but i forgot to ask if the quality and the head are the same :S.

Sigma is my favourite brand for makeup brushes by far (I even like it more than M.A.C!)Their brushes are such good quality, there is a huge range and the prices are bargains, in my opinion, for the quality of the brushes!I have the Essential Kit-Make me Classy and I must say that I am legit obsessed with it! Definitely purchase it everyone, it is amazing!! :)
    and MakeupByTiffanyD I love your blog! It is so informative and I just love reading it hehe ;)
