Who is Tiffany? (and WELCOME to my blog!)

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog!

Who am I, you're wondering?

I'm just a regular girl who loves makeup! I'm a self-taught makeup artist, born and raised right outside of Atlanta, GA. I'm now living in the same area with my husband, Brad. If you follow me on twitter, you've probably heard about him before! :) After spending my college years majoring in education and teaching little ones, I discovered that I am truly a teacher at heart. However, I had always dreamed of becoming a "real" makeup artist. By combining my love of teaching with my love of makeup, I ventured into the world of YouTube creating makeup and beauty how-to videos with great success. It's truly so much fun and very rewarding knowing that I'm able to teach what I love and share my passion for makeup with others. Through my early experiences doing freelance makeup on others and working beauty retail in my college years, my interest and skills in makeup grew and I began to realize I had a natural talent. I continue to expand my knowledge and skills through books, MAC Master classes, seminars, and any other means or media that will put me at the top of my game. I truly love the feeling of making others feel beautiful and confident and showing them that when done right, makeup can be more than just eye shadow and lipstick. It's a total transformation. Not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. Good makeup should make you feel as good as you look. From the most natural looks, to the super dramatic, I love bringing out the beauty in each individual. As you can probably tell, makeup is my passion and is truly a creative outlet for me.
If you are interested in my services as a makeup artist -for any event or occasion- click here for more info.

While I know this will be enjoyable for me, I'm creating this to share my information with others and to hopefully help others.

So I invite you to follow my blog and check out my video tutorials on my YouTube channel if you haven't already. I want this to be a helpful resource and fun outlet for anyone who stumbles upon it!

Just a few pics! (Check back for more additions!)

With my husband, Brad

wow Tiffany - your hubby is a hottie! You can tell him I said that too :) I can't believe you are self taught - you really are naturally talented. Just reading this info about you gives me hope that one day I may be able to start my own business with make up - as I have a lot of the same passions as you and am also self taught with make up. In fact, growing up every time we went anywhere I was my households make up artist - had a lot of practice making my 40+ mother (she had me when she was 40) look gorgeous - lots of practice at covering bad skin and wrinkles from sun damage lol!

Also, just want to say that you and Brad make a lovely couple too :)

Take care, and can't wait for more of your youtube videos.

I first watched your Eyeliner/Eye Pencil video on YouTube. I have never been able to find anyone who truly knows how to apply eyeliner.. it has always seemed like some trade secret/secret source of knowledge...

Thanks for providing such a comprehensive tool. I am excited to follow you for any other makeup/fashion tips.

If we have questions for you, where can we post them?

I'll post it here I guess- hopefully you'll see it.

I CANNOT find a good shade of red lipstick. Any ideas? I have a funny skin tone that's really pale, yet all "lighter" reds look orange on me.

Hi Tiffany
I'm enjoying your videos, you are a true make up artist. I think it would be helpful for many people, if you could show make up for different ages, face shapes, skin colors, etc. on other people. You are so young and pretty, anything will look good on you, but it would be really interesting to see, what make up can do for a let's say 50 year old woman, or someone with a not so ideal face, or skin problems.
Thanks.

Hi Tiffany. I just recently began watching your videos and following your blog. Let me tell you I have never been so into a blog as much as I am into yours. You give amazing tips and you are an expert at what you do. I am currently an architecture student but I have always been very passionate about makeup...so next year when I graduate I am going to enroll in Beauty school!! Though I think that I am pretty good at applying makeup, I would still like to learn more and as of right now you have just inspired me even more and I will definitely keep track of your blog. I also love the reviews you give because every time I go to MAC I always have a difficult time deciding what to get, maybe thats because I want it all!! But you are making my decisions much easier. Also, I am soooo impressed with your make up collection!! Thanks for your blog!!

Hi Tiffany! I just wanted to thank you for putting up such an amazing site. And that I wanted to let you know that I will be using your makeup tips for my makeup for our wedding. Although we can't afford to get married any time soon, I will be checking back to get tips.

I do have one question, do you ahve a video for how to make your lashes look the way they do? I have long lashes and I can never seem to get them to curl right or not get clumped together. I could use any tips I can get.

Thank you again for such a gret blog, as well as your you tube site. I'm glad there is something out there so useful. And I could use any tips I can get on my makeup for our wedding. (I know I'm probably 2 years or more away from our wedding since we really can't afford it, but that gives me more time to practice my make up!)

Hi, I am a new in your blog and watching your videos, and I really think that you are a great make up artist. Happy BIRTHDAY LATE! and I hope you got your Damier LV, I got it as an anniversary present this JUNE!. I want to ask you a favor, if you can when you can, try to make a video for make up foundation to cover bad days with ROSACEA and some dark blotches on the cheeks. I have never taken make up classes but just like you, I have a natural talent and LOVES to put on make up.I think that when you wear make up, you instantly start felling better!. I love your hair and beautiful face!. Sometimes for me, is difficult to cover SOME of my rosacea days, and that makes it worse combine with dark blotches.

So I am totally new to blogging, subscribing, etc. All I know is that about 6 months ago I came across a tutorial of yours when I was looking for some tips on how to create a smokey eye. I then started to watch more of your videos, which lot of them I have bookmarked (I had never made a bookmark folder before that). I started to purchase a lot of the MAC products you use, which I feel I have so much and so many colors, I never know what to do with them so I stay on top of your videos for help and now I have fully gone makeup crazy! I'm obsessed with trying out different looks, techniques, products, etc. It is almost therapeutic to me to be quite honest. So, Thank you Tiffany for your hard work! Sometimes I wish I could just ask you questions about color combination's or alternative's to some of the products you use! If you ever get a chance to read this, I'd love to contact you and if you do freelance work, I'd hire you for my next big event! (I really don't mean that weirdly haha)! I think your great and I love what you do! You have truly been an inspiration!

Hello Tiffany!

I just discovered your work, I had no idea… You are an artist; it is amazing what you can accomplish in such an easy way.

I’m writing you because I have a friend’s wedding in October, and I want to show very red lips but not dark eyes, with great eyelashes and also I want to show up a nice tan (tan that I don’t have... and I’m always with pale makeup). Since I don’t have your amazing and natural eyelashes I have to work them out.

I’ve been watching your red lips video, but I do not know how to do my eyes, usually I wear them dark (with light lips). So, I don’t know how to work them light and that it still looks as a party makeup.

There is a Lilly Allen’s picture with a look similar (not exactly) to what I have in mind (my skin tone and hair color are also similar to hers), I would like you to show me how to do it, if possible. But, anyway I appreciate any suggestion from you.
I don’t know how to attach the picture to my comment, that’s why I’m sending you the link. You can see the picture at: http://buildingnemn.com/lily-allen-send-photo-naked-chest-to-rockstar/
I appreciate any help or advise you can give me! And keep on doing such a great job!!!

Hugs from Spain,
Jessica

Hi Tiffany i love watching your video's. And im not very good at putting makeup on at all. In got a 2 year old little boy so i let myself go a lot after i had him. And i got married 5 weeks ago wnd when they did my makeup i love it. I felt lika a princess for the first time ever lol. My problem is my eye lid droops slightly so i carn't do the tail with the eye liner because when i look straight forward you carn't see it. But if i pull my skin back at the side of my eye's you can see the tail. And it looks nice. Could you suggest anything i could do? Also i always get an imprint of my eyeliner on my eye lids. If i use pencil or gel one's evan with eye shadow over it. I know you will get a lot of message's and you probbaly want have time to answer mine but if you get a min to answer. I would really apreciate it

Kind regards Rachel

Thanks for sharing all this with us Tiffany!
You are truly talented. And, most importantly, so king & generous =)

All my best,

Tiffany,
Thank you so much. I am a novice (at 36) to makeup and you make it seem like even I could do it! Two questions
1) when you mention a product, could you say the name clearly and slowly so those of us can write it down?

2) if I were interested in taking some classes on this for fun and practice, who would you recommend? (ie MAC, Sephora, Ulta, etc)

Thx!

Wendy

Hi Tiffany!
I am currently going to make-up school in Toronto, Canada. I came across your make-up videos on youtube, and have to say your talent is fantastic. I love the make-up you do for your eyes mixed with the highlighting and contouring it’s absolutely stunning and complements the whole face, beautiful work! Good luck to you and best wishes for your success.

I stumbled across your Youtube tutorial and I was immediately hooked! A few clicks later, I made it to your website and I'm already so excited to start using all of these new techniques on myself! I've always had such a hard time with my makeup looking as if it was "too much" but I really like how you've incorporated that problem in your tutorials (especially the rihanna style eyeliner one)! I want to thank you for your website and keep up the great work!! :)
